I am greeting you from the library lawn at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, where I’ve lived and taught for the last 35 years.
Take a look around this website, if you like. You’ll find information about my poetry, fiction, and essay collections. About events where I will be presenting (and hosting) readings and workshops. And about how to get a hold of me, if that feels right.
Along the way there might be an interview or two, a stray poem, a link to a reading. The usual. And, hopefully, the unusual.
I’m told I am a nature writer. (But what else is there to write about, really?) And that I am spiritual. (Aren’t we all?) I’d like to think John Muir and John the Apostle (saints both) are friends of mine—or warm acquaintances, anyway. Perhaps they can be yours as well.
